Jane inspires such loyalty in her clients that she has some who’ve been booking with her for 20 years. And she even has a family who nominate a budget and let her choose where they’re going on their annual family holiday. This year she sent them to Indonesia, with a side trip to beautiful and rugged Komodo Island, the only place you can see Komodo Dragons in the wild.
 
Asked for her own favourite destination though, she wouldn’t hesitate. “Africa! I spent three months there, over 20 years ago now, and love helping other people experience this incredible destination. The people, the scenery and the wildlife are literally amazing. It’s one destination that I’d get on a plane and return to tomorrow if I had the opportunity.”
In fact, you get the sense that when it comes to active and outdoor holidays, that’s where Jane really excels.
 
She’s even able to find ‘active’ cruises for those people who might not have pictured the possibility. She personally rates experiencing Alaska up close and personal on an UnCruise – finding the right piece of Ice in the water to drink schnapps out of, and having a face mask using the same mud as that under your feet!
 
Another of her personal travel highlights was a hiking trip in the French Alps with her son, of which she says, “The scenery at 3,000m was literally out of this world.” She also took a ‘year out’ with her husband and son to go camping around Australia for 10 months, “just living the good old simple life. I now look at life in a different perspective, knowing how little it takes to be happy.”
 
She says, “I love being able to make my clients’ holiday dreams come true, with happy memories to treasure for the rest of their lives. It truly is quality of experience that makes the difference.”
